Lucie Delobel, FRANCE
“I was born in southern France, where I have spent most of my life, with the exception of a few years in the Philippines as a child. When I was 16, I spent a year in Washington, DC studying at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in the Literary Media & Communication department. Today I live in Ireland, where I am in my third year of studying Earth Sciences, a multidisciplinary program combining geography, geology, environmental science, chemistry, and physics, at Trinity College, Dublin.
In 2014 I received a Dean’s Scholarship for the Brown Environmental Leadership Lab summer program in Rhode Island, USA. Other than science, one of my keen interests is writing, for which I had an Honorable Mention in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for the short story category in 2013. I started horse-riding when I was 4, play the clarinet, took up taekwondo and archery in college, and I have traveled a fair amount around Europe (Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, …) and the world”

Emma Riskin, UNITED STATES
“I am fascinated by design, whether it be architecture, fine art, or couture; exploring the way individuals uniquely express themselves is very intriguing to me. I was able to explore this while studying art history in Italy. Watching my peers’ creative process throughout this program allowed me to connect to them in a deeper way. The most meaningful way I have been able to connect with myself has been through my personal creativity. My attraction to communicate deeper aspects of myself has brought me into the world of modeling, where I have been working for the last year. I hope to continue learning about the world while deepening my understanding of others.”
